Speaker:- Joanna Foat — “ The Lumberjills- Britain’s Forgotten Army”
Joanne comes dressed in the uniform that these girls would have worn in the 1940s and gives a Powerpoint presentation including video and rare photos of the Lumberjills working in the forest. She encourages a lot of audience participation.

The meeting starts at 1.30 pm with refreshments and the speaker starts at 2 pm.

The Travel and Tourism team will also be at the meeting so you can book a short holiday, day trip or theatre trip or buy a secondhand book.
