CORONA VIRUS

Announcement – SUMMER TERM Programme

Following Government and U3A advice of 16.03.2020 the Trustees made the decision to suspend the Summer Term meetings, face-to-face groups and visits.

The Trustees encourage everyone to stay safe and continue to follow closely the guidance from Government, despite the national news that some people are taking a very relaxed view about social distancing. The information from our Insurers is that face-to-face U3A activity should not be undertaken at present. They advise that “the Government reasons for leaving home remain very limited and do not include for leisure activities such as provided by the U3A.” We will of course abide by this directive and there will continue to be no group activity for the time being.

The eNewsletter will continue to be published on the 1st of the month and our Postal members will receive a monthly news bulletin at the beginning of the month, rather than Termly, for the foreseeable future.

Group Leaders and Members are being inventive  in how they continue to carry on with some of our U3A activities, using emails, Whats App, Skype, Face Time, Zoom, e-learning.

Click here to go to the Things To Do page in our Members Only section for ideas on how to spend your spare time.
