DESCRIPTION:Rarer than Rainforest – the Story of our Local Heathlands   by Nick Gudde. \nNick was a volunteer with Surrey Wildlife Trust for more than 25 years\, working mainly on heathland conservation.  His talk will cover what he has learned about our local wilderness and why it’s so unusual.  This will include the origin of the heathland and its wildlife\, the impact of humans and aspects of conserving it.
